Lieutenant Colonel Kiran Bikram Rana(R)  has more than 32 years of service in Nepal Army. He Completed necessary military courses with the specialization in Officer’s Cadet Selection Course (GTO) from Pakistan and worked as a Group Testing Officer (GTO).Moreover, He has more than 14 years’ experience in Officer’s Cadet Selection and contributed his expertise particularly for selecting recruits, technical personnel, officers such as DRs, Officer Cadet, Engineer and officers relating to the technical fields more than 3 years.

Professional  History: He was Deployed as a Company Commander (Mechanized Company), Company Commander at Malchalani Adda, Birgunj, Battalion Second in Command (2IC) (Mechanized), Battalion Commander(Infantry Battalion), officer in charge of looking after  the Extra Curricular Activities at  Sainik Mahavidhyalaya Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, Liaison Officer in Sainik School, Phulbari Pokhara.He served in the Army from tactical level to the strategic level.

UN Mission :He served in 4 different UN missions such as (Somalia, DR Congo, Liberia, Central African Republic).As a Special appointment, He worked  in Congo as a Company Commander, as COE Team Leader in Liberia and as Chief of MCS Coordinator including Team Leader in Central African Republic(CAR).

Educational Qualification: He holds Master’s Degree in Arts from Tribhuvan University (T.U)

Military Honors: He is decorated with various National and International medals as well as the COAS prestigious commendation Badge.
